Homework assignments
Exercise classes are Mondays, 11:15h - 12:45h, in seminar room INF 205, SR C. First exercise class is on Monday, May 2, 2016, last exercise class is Monday, July 25, 2016.
The assignment sheets are put online on Monday evenings.
The solutions of the practical homework must be sent (as executable .py files) to
. The theoretical exercises are discussed in the exercise class.
The programming exercises should be solved in Python using the libraries NumPy, SciPy and Matplotlib.
Python + libraries are installed on the computers in the CIP-Pool. For a tutorial see for instance Quickstart Numpy or try Google.
Exams
Registration
To register for this lecture + exercise classes, please use the
MUESLI system. You need to register even if you have already filled out the sheet passed in the first lecture.
Admission
Sufficient conditions for acquiring admission to take the exam are
regular and active attendance in tutorials,
presenting a solution at least twice in the semester (preferrably one theoretical and one programming exercise)
Students who can certify admission in past semesters are strongly encouraged to solve the homework assignments again, although they are not required to do so. We would like to stress that the contents of the lectures can change from year to year and from lecturer to lecturer.
Exams
The final exam takes place on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, 11:15-12:45. Where: Room SR C (same room as the exercises)
Please have your regular ID and your student ID at hand.
No electronic calculation devices are allowed (including cell phones).
