Multiphase Flows and Combustion
Multiphase flows and combustion processes are vital to technical combustion systems such as liquid-fueled rocket propulsion, internal engine combustion, industrial furnaces, and in gas turbine combustion. The modeling and simulation of these processes are essential to properly predict efficiency, stability, safety, and economy of these systems. This requires the development and evaluation of sub-models of the complex models including the modeling and simulation of the flow with its turbulent character, detailed chemical reactions and their interaction. Moreover, the knowledge and investigation of both gas and liquid properties is required.
