IWR Members' Program “Academia to Industry”
The IWR offers its members co-funding support for industrial cooperation projects and start-ups. Planned and ongoing transfer projects as well as public-private partnerships and start-ups are eligible. The scope of the program is to enhance industry projects through additional personnel, the organization of workshops, sponsoring equipment, and the development of prototypes. A streamlined application process and the timely decision by the directors' board of IWR ensure flexible and fast support of innovative projects.
Funding Scope
Financial support of up to 150,000 EUR for planned or existing start-up or industrial cooperation projects and cannot exceed the main project funding.
Selection Criteria
- Applicants must be a member of IWR

Funding supports the following constellations:
- Planned / approved cooperation with an industrial partner
- Establishment of a start-up
- Submission of a concise financial plan (see application form)
- The support of young researchers is encouraged

The board will decide on the application in the directors' meetings. The Office of the Managing Board will inform the applicant of the outcome of the application.
