Managing Directorate

The management of the IWR is incumbent upon a managing director and four directors. They are elected by the Extended Board of Directors, and appointed by the rector of Heidelberg University.

The Managing Director is responsible for the management and official representation of the IWR. He reports directly to the Rector of the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität. The Managing Director is a member of the Managing Board of Directors which is responsible for all ongoing decisions and meets approximately every month. They are appointed for a term of three years.
